Adiós!

Paçoca

Paçoca is a traditional CHORO, named after a kind of candy. It was written by Brazilian composer Celso Machado who was born in 1953. You will hear it played on flute, guitar and PERCUSSION.

These are some of the percussion instruments that will be played in the performance. Do you know what they are?

Composers keep us interested by making sections of a piece sound different from each other. A choro has 3 parts which will repeat.

ConnectNOW - Can you hear the three parts and use music words like pitch, rhythm, tempo, and melody to describe them? This is called the FORM of the piece.
