Latin American Art

LATIN AMERICAN ART is often called “colorful”, “bright”, and “vibrant”. As you listen to the performance and watch the background pictures, be thinking of words to describe what you are hearing and seeing.

The painting to the right is by Javier Gonzalez Gallosa from Cuba.

The painting to the left is by Federico Correa from Mexico.

Did you know you’re very important to the success of the performance? Because you are in the same room with the performers, they can see and hear you.

So that they can perform their best for you, it’s very important that you control your body and your voice.

Listen closely and attentively. Sit still and keep your body to yourself. We want to make sure all audience members can watch and listen too!

After you take your seats in the concert hall, the lights will dim, letting you know the concert is about to begin! As the performers come onstage, it’s time to clap for them!
