Huapango
All the musicians and dancers will come together for the finale, Huapango, by Mexican composer José Pablo Moncayo.
The Huapango is a lively Mexican dance of Spanish origin popular along the Gulf of Mexico. This Huapango uses the melodies of three Mexican folk dances: El Siquisiri, El Balaju, and El Gavilán (The Hawk).
It is so popular that it is called “Mexico’s Second National Anthem”. You will hear the percussionist take the lead using different instruments.
